The pandemic with its effects speeded up the digitalization of events and caused their major transformation. Currently, attendees expect the experiences from in-person events to be reflected in online and hybrid form. In order to meet the expectations of organizers, their customers, partners and employees, Eventory introduces Events 2.0 standard, which allows to provide all participants with the same quality of experiences.

What are Events 2.0 for the audience?

Based on research and analysis conducted by Eventory team, we know that when an online event begins, its attendees want to feel as if they are entering a new space, offering them possibilities as similar as possible to those they usually have at in-person events. In the case of traditional events, after preparing for the event, arriving at the venue and registering, participants head to the conference area. They discover a new space, new decor, meet new people. Sometimes it might be stressful, sometimes very exciting, but it was almost always a new experience.

World of Events 2.0

We can provide attendees with the same experiences when using Events 2.0 with Eventory. In the new, upgraded platform, we separate the marketing page of the event (landing page) from the event itself (event area). From now on, the landing page will serve as a first point of contact for the attendees. It will be the space the organizer can freely edit to match it with their visual identification and branding. Thanks to this, the landing page will be an attractive and informative website with a clear CTA – to encourage people to register to an event or buy a ticket.

After completing the formalities, the participant is transferred to the event website entering firstly a virtual lobby. From this place, a participant (but also a speaker or exhibitor) has the ability to easily navigate the entire online event. They can read the basic information provided by the organizer, browse the schedule, check other participants and immediately use the networking option by writing a message to selected people. Already at this moment, they can fill out a survey or inform the organizer about their expectations. This all can happen even before the event starts. We treat the virtual lobby as the event’s reception, the starting point of all activities during the event.

The goal of implementing new features in Eventory platform and creating the Events 2.0 standard was to improve attendee experience and the user interface.
